The Client will pay monthly in advance. Late payment charges may apply.
All invoices should be settled in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in the invoice and paid to ‘Teach Wessex Limited’ via Bank Transfer (BACS).
6. Late Arrivals
Sessions will start at their scheduled time. If a Student arrives late to their scheduled lesson, the Tutor may choose to, but is not obligated to work beyond the scheduled end time. If the Tutor stops work at the scheduled end time, the session will be charged at the usual price.
If a Student does not attend their session at the agreed time, a reminder message will be sent or a phone call made to the Client by Teach Wessex Ltd.
Student lateness more than 15 minutes will result in a cancelled session. The session fees will not be refunded, and there will be no make-up session scheduled.
Should the Tutor be delayed for a scheduled session, the session will be extended, if feasible, to make up for the lost time. If extending the session is not possible, the missed time will be made up either on the same day or spread across multiple sessions. The delay will be communicated by Text/What’s App message or phone call by Teach Wessex, as soon as is reasonably practicable.
7. Session Cancellation
Clients should be aware that there can be considerable preparation involved before each session of tuition.
To cancel a scheduled session, please give a minimum of 48 hours’ notice before the session start time. Failure to provide this notice will result in the Client being charged the full amount for the session.
If a cancellation is made with more than 48 hours’ notice, an alternative tuition time may be offered, though the Client must accept that it is not always possible to accommodate rescheduling of sessions. In which case the session will be missed, and the Client will not be charged for the session. If the Client has already paid for the session, this will be credited towards the next invoice.
Should the Tutor not be available on the day, the Client will be informed, and a re-arranged session may be offered. If a suitable alternative cannot be arranged, the Client will not be charged for the session. If the Client has already paid for the session, this will be credited towards the next invoice.
If the Student or Client chooses to terminate a Session early (for example, after 30 minutes of a one-hour session), the Session will be charged at the usual price.
Cancellations by the Client of more than 3 weeks in succession, or which Teach Wessex Ltd perceive as unreasonable, regular cancellations, will be considered for immediate termination of tuition, at Teach Wessex Ltd.’s discretion.
8. Planned Absences
Please give at least 4 weeks’ notice of any pre-booked holidays.
If 4 weeks’ notice is not given, the missed sessions will be charged for.
If we must cancel a session in advance for our own Tutors planned absence, we will always try to give 4 weeks’ notice to the Client.
If a tuition Session falls on a Bank Holiday or other national or religious holiday that either the Tutor or the Client wishes to observe, then the Client will not be charged for this session. Please give us at least 2 weeks’ notice of any national or religious holidays you would like to observe.
9. Session Requirements

In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with the tuition service provided at any point, please call or email Teach Wessex Ltd as soon as any issue arises, and we will attempt to resolve them.
In the case of an irrevocable break-down in the relationship between the Client and their Tutor, the assigned Tutor may be replaced, if another suitably qualified Tutor is available and if the replacement Tutor is acceptable to the Client.
15. Limitation of Liability
While the Tutor will endeavour to ensure the Student makes satisfactory progress, this cannot be guaranteed, and neither the Tutor, nor Teach Wessex Ltd can be held accountable for the academic success or otherwise of the Student.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither the Tutor, nor Teach Wessex Ltd accept liability for any direct or indirect loss or damage, foreseeable or otherwise, including any indirect, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising from the use of the Tutor’s or Teach Wessex Ltd.’s services or any errors or omissions in the content of the Tutor’s learning materials.
