Sessions will start at their scheduled time. If a Student arrives late to their scheduled lesson, the Tutor may choose to, but is not obligated to work beyond the scheduled end time. If the Tutor stops work at the scheduled end time, the session will be charged at the usual price.
If a Student does not attend their session at the agreed time, a reminder message will be sent or a phone call made to the Client by Teach Wessex Ltd.
Student lateness more than 15 minutes will result in a cancelled session. The session fees will not be refunded, and there will be no make-up session scheduled.
Should the Tutor be delayed for a scheduled session, the session will be extended, if feasible, to make up for the lost time. If extending the session is not possible, the missed time will be made up either on the same day or spread across multiple sessions. The delay will be communicated by Text/What’s App message or phone call by Teach Wessex, as soon as is reasonably practicable.
7. Session Cancellation
Clients should be aware that there can be considerable preparation involved before each session of tuition.
To cancel a scheduled session, please give a minimum of 48 hours’ notice before the session start time. Failure to provide this notice will result in the Client being charged the full amount for the session.
If a cancellation is made with more than 48 hours’ notice, an alternative tuition time may be offered, though the Client must accept that it is not always possible to accommodate rescheduling of sessions. In which case the session will be missed, and the Client will not be charged for the session. If the Client has already paid for the session, this will be credited towards the next invoice.
Should the Tutor not be available on the day, the Client will be informed, and a re-arranged session may be offered. If a suitable alternative cannot be arranged, the Client will not be charged for the session. If the Client has already paid for the session, this will be credited towards the next invoice.
If the Student or Client chooses to terminate a Session early (for example, after 30 minutes of a one-hour session), the Session will be charged at the usual price.
Cancellations by the Client of more than 3 weeks in succession, or which Teach Wessex Ltd perceive as unreasonable, regular cancellations, will be considered for immediate termination of tuition, at Teach Wessex Ltd.’s discretion.
8. Planned Absences
Please give at least 4 weeks’ notice of any pre-booked holidays.
If 4 weeks’ notice is not given, the missed sessions will be charged for.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither the Tutor, nor Teach Wessex Ltd accept liability for any direct or indirect loss or damage, foreseeable or otherwise, including any indirect, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising from the use of the Tutor’s or Teach Wessex Ltd.’s services or any errors or omissions in the content of the Tutor’s learning materials.

Our son was delighted to accept his first choice school and I have no doubt that Teach Wessex played an enormous part in his success. We will be returning when it’s time for our daughter to do the same. Thank you, Phil and Katie. a k2024-10-25Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Phil and Katie have been amazing and this is the place to let your child prepare for grammar school entrance exam-look for no other tuition as we cannot thank them enough for guiding and mentoring our son who passed two different grammar school entrance exams and get entry into grammar school (HGS and NHGS-Yorkshire). I cannot praise enough their professionalism blended with dedication and sincerity in helping our son. Thank you again and good luck to your future students! Carolina Tex2024-10-23Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I would highly recommend Teach Wessex for 11+ tuition. Our teacher, Saphire, was very attentive, clear in her instructions and explaniots, and really cared about my daughter's learning. We are very happy after receiving excellent results after my daughter exam. Holly Harms2024-10-23Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can highly recommend Phil (and Katie!) as 11+ grammar preparation tutors. Phil is an experienced, engaging, personable and effective tutor who taught and helped my son successfully pass the 11+ exam in September 2024. He is very knowledgeable, and his enthusiasm for teaching and learning is evident and contagious! Tutor sessions were held online via Zoom - this worked well and enabled flexibility in our busy schedule! We also attended the Mock Exam sessions at Broadstone which helped my son prepare and gain confidence for the actual exam day. Phil and Katie are a great team: professional, incredibly supportive, and very organised! I can’t recommend them highly enough! Kate Moores2024-09-24Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My son has attended the mock exams for his 11+ with Katie and Phil. After every mock the feedback was returned quickly and gave a full insight of the gaps in his knowledge to allow us to prepare him for the actual 11+. Seeing his scores increase after every assessment showed us how effective and invaluable this feedback was. I would highly recommend Teach Wessex and advocate undertaking all mocks offered. Leeanne Walters-Dove2024-05-22Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My son had English and Maths revision with Lesley (English) and Gary (Maths) both were brilliant tutors, explains things in a way that my son understood, went over topics he had not covered at school properly and improved his knowledge over all. He is half way though his GCSEs now but the tutoring has taken away a lot of the stress as he feels more confident in his abilities. Would highly recommend Teach Wessex! Lorna Prout2024-03-05Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Katie and Lesley have been great with my daughter. Lesley has been providing English (both language and literature) tuition for my daughter throughout years 10 and 11. Both have been super flexible fitting round our current schedules and Lesley has been so patient with my daughter who is severely dyslexic. Our daughter had some private maths tuition with Gill leading up to her GCSE's. We couldn't have wished for a better tutor. The confidence it gave her, not only in maths but throughout every exam has been nothing short of amazing. Would we recommend Teach Wessex? Absolutely! Not only was the tuition 5☆, but also the communication from Katie, who kept us informed throughout the entire process. Gill/Katie, thank you again for all you help, I'm sure it will lead to better things for Emily.
